The autumn semester meeting of NEFU & Western Australia double degree program in 2021 was successfully completed

Northeast Forestry University (hereinafter referred to as "NEFU") and the University of Western Australia (hereinafter referred to as "Western Australia") jointly carry out international inter school cooperative talent training, realize mutual recognition of course credits between the two universities, and carry out "2 + 2" double copies and "3 + 2" The dual degree joint talent training project of this master's model involves four majors: Economics and management, literature, engineering and science, covering 25 undergraduate majors in NEFU.

The NEFU Western Australia dual degree joint training program began in September 2016. By September 2021, a total of 38 students have successfully enrolled in the University of Western Australia, including 22 who have obtained double degrees. Among them, more students choose to continue their further study. There are many universities for further study, including the national University of Australia, the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney World famous universities such as Hong Kong University of science and technology; Most of the students who choose to work are well-known financial and construction industries in China. At present, the number of NEFU students studying at the University of Western Australia is 16, as shown in Figure 1.

In order to let more students know about their study and life in the University of Western Australia and improve their enthusiasm to participate in international exchange and learning projects, Aulin College held a double degree project exchange meeting in classroom 401, Aulin building on the morning of September 19. Liu Zhiming, Dean of Aulin college, and relevant personnel of teaching management office and international project center attended the meeting. Nearly 40 freshmen of grade 2021 law, advertising and social work who are interested in the dual degree program in Western Australia attended the meeting.

Li Na, director of the international project center, shared NEFU students' study, scholarship policy, life, further study and employment in Western Australia. Mr. Li especially made clear the advantages of students joining the dual degree program in Western Australia: first, students can obtain dual undergraduate degrees in four years after joining the "2 + 2" program, and undergraduate and master's degrees in five years after joining the "3 + 2" program; Second, if you join the academic English class, you can feel the foreign curriculum system and assessment system in advance. The perfect connection between the various assessments of academic English and the courses of the University of Western Australia allows students to get in touch with the types of academic tasks of foreign universities in advance in the process of language improvement; Third, Academic English with an average score of 70 or above (no less than 65 points in a single semester), the English language ability is directly recognized by the University of Western Australia, which can avoid the trouble that students can't pass the IELTS test for many times, save time and reduce the economic investment in English classes. During the meeting, freshmen also watched the experience video of senior students and sisters participating in the project. The students have some concepts about the learning and planning of the University, and are also interested in After going abroad, I have some expectations for my study and life.

Liu Zhiming, Dean of Aulin college, also interpreted the dual degree joint training project as a teacher and senior: the NEFU Western Australia dual degree project is an important and practical project in the educational internationalization goal of Northeast Forestry University.
